SILO™
SILO membrane bioreactor system redefines satellite wastewater treatment. The simplicity in design allows reliable operation without complicated programming and extraneous mechanical and electrical controls. With only six moving parts and a simplified electrical design, it provides the superior effluent quality of a membrane system without the complexity.
- A simplified approach to membrane bioreactor (MBR) treatment for wastewater treatment where ease of operation and low maintenance is necessary
- Just six moving parts while still using the most advanced wastewater treatment process, the MBR
- For small applications – populations between 100 and 2,000 people
- Keeps wastewater out of municipal sewer systems
- Treated wastewater reused for irrigation and other low-level building and grounds purposes
- Modular design based around a standard 400 BBL
(1 BBL = 42 US gallons) tank. Allows for multiple units to be used in parallel - Systems can be constructed and installed quickly where there is an urgent need

Key System Highlights

Minimal Moving Parts
Only moving parts required to treat incoming raw wastewater are mechanical screens, blowers, a pump and a control valve

No PLC (programmable logic controller)
The simple design requires no complex controls, leading to low maintenance, minimal operations’ staffing and no programming

Gravity Based Filtration
As flow to the SILO increases, the water level in the tank rises. This increases force through the membranes and automatically increases the flow rate

Rapid Deployment
Each unit can be shipped to site and mounted in succession. Installation is limited to placement of the tank and interconnecting piping and electrical
SIMPLIFYING SEWAGE TREATMENT
WASTEWATER FEED
FINE SCREENING
ACTIVATED SLUDGE
MEMBRANE FILTRATION
